The workwear sector in Italy is developing continuously which certainly reflects the\u00a0<\/strong>increase in the use of uniforms at work. Also smaller businesses are showing positive\u00a0<\/strong>trends. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Work uniforms turn out to be indispensable for those who cultivate business\u00a0<\/strong>relations with foreign companies. Treating workwear means engaging ironing\u00a0<\/strong>machines with the capacity of processing 50 pieces per hour, and new solvents\u00a0<\/strong>used in dry-cleaning<\/strong><\/p>\n

Italy, a constant two-speed country that cannot miss\u00a0 any topic to discuss, workwear included. As a matter\u00a0of fact, Italian countryside and suburbs often offer\u00a0scenes of freshly washed wet garments and work uniforms\u00a0hanging out of the windows. Exactly like it was\u00a0a century ago, the professional workwear is still left for\u00a0the users to be washed at home instead of having it\u00a0treated at professional dry-cleaning laundries which is\u00a0what actually happens abroad.
\nYet, what we also discover is that Italy offers important\u00a0art exhibitions just like the one at the Triennale di Milano\u00a0museum in 2014 where forty excellent designers from\u00a0all over the world presented workwear pieces according\u00a0to their concepts. A \u201cvegetable ice-cream maker\u201d\u00a0by Toshiyuki Kita, a Japanese designer or a \u201ccollector\u00a0of seashells\u201d by Nanni Strada and his genius, and\u00a0thirty-eight more creations exhibited at the museum\u00a0exalted the most classic, everyday look of workwear:\u00a0overalls, white coats, aprons, uniforms and whatever\u00a0else is worn at work.
\nQuite a contrast, indeed. However, it is destined to level\u00a0soon if we consider the impressive business that could\u00a0be born around workwear. Considering Italy again, take\u00a0Klopman, one of the biggest companies of the sector\u00a0based in Frosinone. It declared a 130-million euro t<\/strong>urnover\u00a0in 2016 mostly realized abroad. It referred to their\u00a0production of 40 million meters of fabrics that year.
\nNo doubt, the sector seems vital and profitable as long\u00a0as one knows how to discover it using the right key.<\/p>\n

\"\"Here are four different ideas on workwear:\u00a0Corinna Mapelli, co-owner of Trevil, ironing machines<\/strong>:\u00a0\u201cAs far as workwear goes, the competition\u00a0between businesses is often subjected to tenders.
\nOne of our clients has won one of the tenders and\u00a0now, they are servicing national airlines of that country\u00a0washing and ironing work uniforms. Laundries that are\u00a0successful at these tenders are equipped with multiuse,\u00a0flexible machines such as finishers for both dry\u00a0and wet garments operated by a single operator\u201d.
\nLuciano Miotto, the Managing Director of Imesa,\u00a0industrial laundry machines<\/strong>: \u201cOur country is still behind\u00a0as far as workwear goes. Only large companies\u00a0really perceive the need to adopt an image of staff wearing\u00a0a clean uniform every day, the same for everyone.
\nIf, however, the company is small, it seems that the\u00a0use of uniforms depends on business relations: companies\u00a0that usually deal with and meet foreign clients\u00a0provide staff with uniforms. It is obviously better not to\u00a0oblige anybody but rather motivate and encourage the\u00a0use of workwear\u201d.
\nMarco Niccolini, the Sales Director of Renzacci,\u00a0laundry machines:<\/strong> \u201cWe periodically witness the\u00a0growth of this sector in Italy. Fewer and fewer car mechanic\u00a0uniforms end up hanging out of the window to\u00a0dry while more and more of them are taken to the professional\u00a0dry-cleaning laundries. Today, they apply new\u00a0dry-cleaning resources, namely the natural solvents\u00a0that can treat any type of soil, even the heavy grease\u00a0stains typical of car mechanics\u2019 uniforms\u201d.
\nWalter Cividini, the Managing Director of Fimas,\u00a0ironing machines<\/strong>: \u201cThe great news of workwear sector\u00a0is represented by the new type of clients who consist\u00a0of medium-small businesses. Today, they tend to\u00a0manage the washing and ironing of their work uniforms\u00a0by themselves. Ironing machines used by these companies\u00a0include 50-70 pieces per hour finishers that until\u00a0only a few years ago, would never be considered\u00a0suitable for this sector\u201d.
\nConsidering the figures at stake, what seems to be\u00a0important here are basically, the knowledge and good\u00a0strategy without excluding it going upstream when\u00a0necessary. According to the latest press release by\u00a0Christeyns, a Belgian multinational producer of\u00a0chemical<\/strong> products with one of its headquarters in\u00a0Italy, their outstanding and extremely successful lines\u00a0of eco-friendly detergents have produced excellent\u00a0cleaning results by overturning the Siner circle rule.
\nAccording to the rule, if water and energy are reduced,\u00a0the quantity of chemical products must be increased.<\/p>\n

While actually, it is not necessary to increase the consumption\u00a0of detergents when it is possible to use different\u00a0types of detergents instead: washing at low temperatures,\u00a0reducing water consumption and following\u00a0the right guidelines for workwear cleaning, previously\u00a0subjected to thorough research, will produce excellent\u00a0cleaning results.
\nAlso the recent press release by Macpi, a producer\u00a0of ironing machine<\/strong>s based in Palazzolo sull\u2019Oglio\u00a0confirms that workwear has become one of the most\u00a0interesting and important topics for big industries, hotels\u00a0hospitals and communities. These places differ\u00a0one from another quite a lot, therefore it is necessary\u00a0to acquire skills and knowledge in order to work with\u00a0them. All these places are characterized by constant\u00a0reduction in labour costs.<\/p>\n

\"\"That is why, it is a winning\u00a0strategy to design automatic finishers for uniforms and\u00a0pants, such as Macpi\u2019s four stations rotating finishing<\/strong>\u00a0unit with the capacity of ironing thousands of garments\u00a0with the intervention of a single operator: an ideal solution\u00a0for health institutions. Moreover, the integration\u00a0of the finishing line with transport systems allows for\u00a0processing garments on hangers, which saves time\u00a0even further. Another important viewpoint has been expressed\u00a0by Pony, a producer of ironing machines\u00a0based in Milan area in its recent press release. Pony\u00a0underlines the primary importance of flexibility in workwear\u00a0sector. Their ironing line of presses characterized\u00a0by very good price\/quality ratio, available with different\u00a0shapes of the boards, is perfectly suitable for finishing\u00a0any type of workwear: uniforms, white coats, trousers.
\nAs far as work uniforms finishers go, Pony offers machines\u00a0that allow for ironing<\/strong> all types of outerwear in\u00a0general, including white coats, uniforms, aprons and\u00a0shirts. The machines can be set for wet garments ironing\u00a0(washed and centrifuged) or for hotel uniform jackets\u00a0ironing.
