\"Documento3\"<\/a>Not “Go West, young man” but \u201cGo to EXPOdetergo International, young man,\u201d to playfully paraphrase the words of a faintly country-sounding ballad. A suggestion validated by what this hypothetical youth, or \u201ccitizen of the future\u201d, would see in person this coming October 3-6, when EXPOdetergo International once again focuses the attention and photographic lenses of the global market on Fiera Milano and the world of machinery, products and services for textile care.
\nWord of mouth already has it that we will see continuous batch washers that not only run non-stop, but also wash “everything”; microchips that allow each article to virtually travel \u201csolo\u201d throughout the entire wash-dry-iron process; eco-friendly detergents compatible with environmental stewardship; robots that perform like perfect, tireless “ironers”; new machines crafted to refurbish mattresses, shoes, blankets, rugs and anything else that until yesterday seemed unlikely to pass through the dry-cleaner’s doors.
\nAt Expo Detergo 2014 these are the concrete examples that will make all the public, and not just trade people, understand that during the long economic downturn, and in the very middle of the major winter cold, \u201csomething\u201d new nonetheless sprung to life. Something that is inviting us to look at the world with new eyes that are finally filled with hope. This is guaranteed by the fact that at Italy\u2019s ExpoDetergo a worldwide leading market continues to prosper, showcasing the highest percentage of companies that work in dry cleaning and ironing across the globe.
\nYes, the financial crisis is an indisputable fact, with blistering consequences that have, and still are, severely challenging the global economy. But it is also true that, while battered by the worst possible recession, there were those who labored with the kind of imagination that strives toward reaching new frontiers and creating the products that will take them there.\"expodetergo<\/a>
\nInformed by optimism and curiosity, this mood is already imprinting the 17th EXPOdetergo International. Just think, at eight months from its opening date, the show has already produced numbers that speak for themselves — beginning with the number of exhibitors, that some time ago surpassed the 150 mark, and represents all the countries that currently “make up the market” in the most global sense of the word. In alphabetical order, they are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, and the United States.
\nNames and numbers that explain the \u201cfeverish\u201d expectations for the show, leading to speculation that the record numbers reported at the last edition \u2013 281 exhibitors from 18 countries, and 20,000 admissions \u2013 are already \u201cunder siege\u201d with more than 200 days until opening. On the other hand, such a \u201cfever\u201d is easy to understand if we think about the fact that the show itself will unveil fresh frontiers to the most varied market sectors: from large industrial laundries (that daily service an impressive network of health care and hospitality players), to chains of self-service laundries and dry cleaners\u2019s able to open shops and offer services around the globe.
\nBut then, this is precisely one of EXPOdetergo International’s primary drawing cards: to offer the broadest possible public an authentic “global look” at an industry that finds the ability to renew itself in its extreme adaptability, designed to guarantee services and products to the totality of its consumers: from the most highly-organized health care structure, to the neighbor on the third floor who is looking for a place to clean their child’s party clothes and grandma’s best coat.
\nWhich brings us back to the appropriateness of \u201cGo to EXPOdetergo International, young man\u201d.<\/p>\n
