\"\"<\/a>A company specialized in providing environmental services, from which it is taking shape the project of a new industrial laundry. This is how Free time laundry is born. And the motivation, commitment and dedication to work, have made the rest. The laundry was inaugurated in May 2023 in the artisan district of Policoro in the province of Matera, not far away from the ruins of the ancient city of Heraclea, an important centre of Magna Graecia. An important centre, cradle of civilisation and rich of ancient history. We have not carried out any market analysis to understand whether it would be appropriate to establish an industrial laundry in this area, it was just entrepreneurial flair. It can be perceived as a sort of evolution of the species. From a Multiservice company, of waste disposal, self-purge, chemical toilets rental, cleaning company, to a medium-small industrial laundry, but with a great future looking back to what it has been achieved in just few months.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>“The laundry was conceived as a logical extension of our environmental services enterprise\u201d, explains us Antonella Varatano, one of the three protagonists (together with Pasquale Santeramo and Vincenzo Cuccaro) of this entrepreneurial adventure. The area where we are located is extending on 35 kilometres of Ionian coastline, full of villages, hotels, restaurants and other accommodation facilities. It is from here from where it arises the idea of starting to provide an essential service of cleaning and hygiene. A project that came to life in 2020 by taking advantage of the tax credit benefits, to which we have added more capital for completing the investment. The activity started only in 2023, and the delay was not so much due to the pandemics, as to the sluggishness and pitfalls of bureaucracy. As a consequence of being located in an artisan area, we had to pay 20.000 euro and wait 14 months for the connection to the gas network.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>We have made the first steps by testing the market and now we are planning to expand our business. We have started by supporting a large accommodation facility for 1.000 persons and offering our service to other small satellite structures as well. Our short-term goal? Trying to process up to 5.000 beds. We have basically started our activity with 6 operators, but with the upcoming summer season we are intending to increase it to 12 employees. We have the possibility to process around 600 Kg of linen per hour, within 12 hours working day, divided in two 6 hours shifts. We are already signing contracts with other accommodations for the upcoming season. We are finding ourselves in an excellent situation where we are able to select our customers, especially because we would not be able to satisfy all demands for the moment.<\/p>\n

From here we started and from here the business has taken off. We provided total support. From planning to positioning the machines, we took care of all stages. We worked hand in hand with an architect and a plant engineer and we have been responsible for the design process starting with the technical standards, specifications and drawings and up to defining the necessary guidelines for the implementation of the entire installation. As Rotondi, we carried out also the technical site management for this project. We are not just selling machinery; we sell and implement a project. We managed to support and lead a group of entrepreneurs to the accomplishment of their dream even without having any previous experience in the sector.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>We have installed water washing machines, tumble dryers, drying and pressing ironers, towels and napkins folding machines, all dimensioned and tailored to the needs of Free time laundry. It is obvious that the business is running very well and a further expansion of the structure will be absolutely necessary in the future. A laundry that is growing up in this way after only six months, it is also a reason of pride for us, as producers. Our driving force as Rotondi Group is to support the customer from the beginning to the end, standing close and assisting during all stages of the project execution, but also the guarantee of being always there, ensuring a punctual after-sales service”.<\/p>\n

But which are more specifically, the machines you have equipped the laundry?
\nIPSO washing machines (IY 600)<\/strong> equipped with specific washing programmes with extraordinary digital support, providing a simple and intuitive user interface. A real washing info centre that complies with the technical specifications required by 4.0 Industry.
\nThe RGS 135 Rotondi gas tumble dryer<\/strong>, also equipped with 4.0 technology, is designed with tilting drum for easier unloading.
\nNapkins and towels folding machines, roller ironers<\/strong>, all equipped with programmable and interconnected computers with customised programmes tailored specifically for the customer. The operator simply feeds the garment in, then based on the device’s \u201creading\u201d, the machine will fold it differently, depending on the item and material inserted, dividing by product type.
\nOne of the special features of the Rotondi Roller ironer<\/strong> stands out in its low power consumption and speed of use thanks to the pre-mixed gas burner installed inside the roller.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>This laundry has been designed according to the best possible man\/machine combination, guaranteeing high efficiency standards, considering a dual principle: low consumption and respect for the environment. In conclusion, we cannot miss to quote what the Apple founder Steve Jobs said about the necessary virtues of an entrepreneur: “I’m convinced that about half of what separates the successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful ones is pure perseverance\u201d. \u2022<\/p>\n
