On 28 May 2020, Marco Sancassani from Ecolab, the Portfolio & Marketing Manager Textile Care Europe, was elected President of Expo Detergo. Over the recent years, Marco Sancassani has already made part of the Board of both Assofornitori and Expo Detergo.
Assofornitori and Expo Detergo represent producers that  operate in textile care market including textile treatment and production, ironing, washing and cleaning, logistics and chemical industry.

 

Expo Detergo organizes and promotes the biggest and most important textile care trade show in Europe that takes place every four years in Milan, in collaboration with FieraMilano. Expo Detergo is also the publisher of Detergo, the official organ of Assofornitori.

Marco Sancassani, the new President of Expo Detergo, points out, “during this particularly complicated, current historical moment that we will need to live with during the next months, our goal is to constantly promote and support companies, not only the members to our association but all the businesses making part of the sector, with special attention going to EXPOdetergo International 2022, the exhibition that we organize every four years, and that draws great interest of visitors from all over the world. Starting from the success of the last edition of EXPOdetergo International 2018 – adds President Sancassani – we will try to improve it even further by making the most of the extraordinary opportunity of an effective sector relaunch, after having dealt with great difficultie that affected the producers.

I am a positive person by nature and I look forward to the future with optimism; given  today’s general uncertainty, I find it very supportive when I look back at the past editions of the show, especially at the 2010 one. Back then, we just came out of a great economic-financial crisis and only two years earlier, we had discussed the issues that worried us in terms of the results we would obtain and what could actually happen.
However, facts in hand, the 2010 edition was extremely satisfactory and as such, it constituted a new starting point  with a peak in year 2018.
Today, I recognize the state of mind and the stimuli from back then: our Associates, likely to have been affected by the recent lockdown, are already back to work overcoming the difficulties. What I am going to focus on is the organization of a show that will be a springboard for new, continuous successes”. •
