Since its foundation in 1946, Christeyns has developed from a local Belgian business into a large, modern and professional company that operates internationally, a leading European producer of industrial laundry products, a global company.
Christeyns group, featuring key skills in the production of chemical products, keeps expanding through investments in the R&D, technical applications and the high level of important work experience of Christeyns staff.
For a long time now, Christeyns has taken a firm stand that translates to the environmental compatibility of their products and washing methods, a choice that makes part of the company’s philosophy. As far as the new products go, Christeyns Research and Development sees sustainability as a particularly essential aspect in the selection of basic elements. By developing more concentrated products, waste production is significantly reduced and so are the costs relating to transport. Also, industrial laundries have sharply decreased water and energy consumptions due to the introduction of more sophisticated washing processes.
What is more, Christeyns has introduced an entire range of heat exchangers to the laundry market. Still, among the most significant successes of Christeyns, we cannot forget about the reduction in water consumption as far as tunnel washers go, passing from 10 liters of water to less than 5 liters per 1Kg of linen.
Proposing quality, safety and reliable services that meet the demand of clients adequately, and engaging in the environmental protection at the same time mean choosing the Ecolabel range hygienic products.
Considering the same or better performance levels, if compared to other products on the market, the products provided with the European eco tag (Ecolabel) are distinguished for their lower environmental impact.
Therefore, using a product or a washing system with such a certification, and following the instructions thoroughly, contributes to the reduction in water pollution, waste production and energy consumption.
To obtain the European Certification, it is necessary to satisfy the following:
• very rigid requirements;
• very strict performance criteria;
• optimized dosing;
• biodegradability in an aerobic or anaerobic environment;
• controlled eco-toxicity;
• reduced packaging material corresponding to the recycling
necessities.
The “Ecolabel flower” or “NORDIC SWAN” labels guarantee:
• user instructions for an environmentally friendly product;
• washing efficacy;
• reduced quantity of the chemical product used;
• limited toxic water polluting substances;
• prevention of the health risk because of dangerous substances;
• reduced packaging.
The growing complexity of the market, constant improvements
and the search for new solutions have led Christeyns to developing
a new washing system.

“PureSan, a washing
system with Ecolabel”

PureSan is a washing process labeled with the European certification. It guarantees a high-performance level, process flexibility and water and energy sustainability thanks to the optimization of temperatures and the management of the washing process water. The product complies with the European Directives and the Minimum Environmental Criteria.
PureSan consists of four products that assure excellent washing results already at 50°C. It presents a better soil and stain removal power, a stain repellent effect, and a more effective bleaching action on every type of fabrics if compared to traditional washing cycles.

“With PureSan, we save up to
75% of water and 80% of energy”

In detail, PureSan system assures:
• excellent stain removal quality thanks to a new, concentrated formulation with a new class of surfactants;
• clean, white linen thanks to the technologically advanced whitening, peracetic-based agents and highly performing optical brighteners;
• high level of linen sanitization already at low temperatures;
• great flexibility as it matches all the temperatures and types of soil thanks to the modulable properties of chemical process components;
• a simple integration with water flow management thanks to the stability of the developed chemical components;
• washing costs optimization thanks to the new concentrated formulation;
• a consequent reduction of the environmental impact in terms of logistics;
• reduction in linen degeneration thanks to the reduction of the necessary alkalinity;
• saving UP TO 75% of water if compared to a standard washing cycle;
• saving UP TO 80% of energy if compared to a standard washing cycle;
• compliance with the Minimum Environmental Criteria thanks to the European Certification, Ecolabel.
On the other hand, for Christeyns, the “Cool Chemistry” company, innovation is continuous, while combining low temperatures with a “gentle” detergent that guarantees the best washing performance without damaging the fabrics is not just an aim but a reality. •
