Dubai calls Milan. Between the capital of one of the 7 United Arab Emirates and the “capital” of southern Europe there are just around 6.000 kilometres. The sprint to Host was launched from Dubai during the week dedicated to Food & Beverage. And so, at the Emirates Tower in front of press and trade operators, it started the final rush towards HOST Milano, the world’s leading platform for technologies, accessories and services for professional hospitality and the offhome sector, which will be held at Fiera Milano from 13 to 17 October 2023. In the framework of this mega market, but also of this extraordinary “trade fair village” – there are 1.200 registered companies, coming from 44 countries, with significant international participation from Europe and the USA – where technological innovation for the laundry sector has also an important position. There are players from different sectors: water-washing and dry-cleaning, professional and automated ironing, but also textiles that furnish and embellish hotel rooms and the tables of top restaurants. Ghidini will present at HOST 2023 – at Stand Q03 Hall 5, its new MC 400 finishing dummy, suitable for ironing shirts, short work jackets, polo shirts and T-shirts. Equipped with a central paddle (covered with a silicone padding to preserve fabrics and avoid marks left by the buttons) that moves laterally for an easier dressing, it is designed with adjustable pneumatic sleeve clamps (for long or short sleeves) with an anatomically shaped, ergonomic oval cuff locking system. The yoke, fully made in stainless steel, can be heated either electrically or with steam and each function is managed by a PLC Touch Screen that is offering the possibility to set the ironing cycles, manage software updates and monitor productivity per day, operator and work cycle. On display to our booth, visitors will also find our blowing ironing table – height-adjustable model BORA S, as well as the model DORIS the plug and play ironing table; and two ironing presses, one of them with polished stainless-steel top for ironing water-washed cotton garments. While in the most developed countries hotels rely on external companies for washing and handling their bedsheets, tablecloths, towels, uniforms and customers clothing, in many other countries for the hotels is essential to have an internal laundry; especially for luxury hotels in countries where there are no drycleaners that ensure high quality services. For example, the well-known 7-star hotel in Dubai, Burj al-Arab, famous for its sail shape, must provide a 7-stars service (also to justify its prices) and prefers to have an in-house laundry rather than to rely on outsourcing, as you cannot have a quality, efficiency and speed guarantee. Of course, the internal laundry of Burj al-Arab hotel is equipped with Italclean machines. The problem in these internal laundries is that and the staff is not always highly qualified, sometimes the manager has a lot of experience, but operators are often beginners and are constantly changing, we should remember that in these countries the rate of employees’ turnover is very high. Therefore, they are also difficult to form and train. Professional ironing solutions
Trevil professional ironing range is offering various products suitable for in-house laundries in hotels, care houses, schools and communities in general. The economical and versatile EASYFORM universal form finisher, occupies only 0,4 m2 and can be equipped with four different sizes of forms to iron all kinds of coats, or even with a form for ironing chair covers. The dummy is available with a built-in 7,5- or 15-kW boiler or prepared for the connection to a central steam source. Simple and robust, the ironing tables from Trevil Essentials line, are available in different ironing board shapes and can be powered by a centralised steam source or a built-in boiler. All tables are height-adjustable.
