Macpi needs no presentation, as it has been active on the national and international market for more than 55 years. A company that has grown internationally in the garment industry, but that has been able to believe and invest in the laundry market in the recent years. History, experience and professionalism are embracing the future. Macpi’s production perimeter is quite wide, ranging from ironing presses, laundry machinery, thermowelding machinery, and up to accessories and logistics machinery for clothing.

Macpi not only provides textile care machines, but it also offers the know-how, a team of technicians and engineers that can support the operators for the optimisation of the existing installations, but also for creating new companies. Ideas and completion for the laundry shops and industrial laundries.

The experience gained in the clothing industry has been appropriately exploited for the laundry, and Simone Cominardi illustrates how the synergy between the topper and the press are in a close symbiosis to achieve perfectly finished trousers.

“The topper allows a precise control of the pelvic extension and legs tension. It is equipped with 20 programmes, each one easily adjustable to the characteristics of the trousers. In addition to the hot air, the cycle includes a cold air phase to fix the finishing result.

Next to the topper there is the “double segment” press, with one leg resting on each side, and the waist wedged in between. The horizontal press favours the seams overlapping for the “trouser line design”. The upper and the lower sheets of the press, are stretched when closing, and position the trousers in the most appropriate way.

The press is not a scissor-type press, as the pressing process is vertical and it is having a very high ironing quality as result. Ergonomics to achieve the operator’s well-being and to maximize the productivity is the guideline of all Macpi machines. Another key-element is the energy saving: the heating system inside the machine is not electric but steam powered, reducing the kilowatts used. All our machines are designed to achieve the benefits of the 4.0 Industry and Transition,” concludes Cominardi. The company’s common denominator is the synergy between innovation and flexibility. The operational flexibility is achieved through the machine’s modularity, allowing a higher customisation degree, according to customers’ needs: this is the business card and the added value of Macpi. •
